At Hte Acquisition Store, we want every customer to have confidence in their purchase. This Return & Refund Policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work for our ready-to-ship retail products as well as custom manufacturing orders.
1. Eligibility for Returns (Retail Products)
We accept returns for eligible retail items under the following conditions:

Items must be unused, unworn, and free of damage.

Items must be returned with original packaging and accessories (if applicable).

Request must be submitted within 15 days of delivery.
Items returned with wear, stains, odors, or misuse may not qualify for a refund.
Non-returnable items
The following cannot be returned:

Custom-made or personalized items

Clearance or final-sale items
-
Digital products (if any)
-
Items damaged due to misuse or improper handling
If you are unsure whether your item qualifies, contact us before returning it.
2. Return Process
To request a return:

Contact us at support@hteacquisition.us, providing your order number and reason for return.

We will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions.

Once the return is received and inspected, you will be notified of the refund status.
Return shipping cost

A $5.00 flat return shipping fee applies unless the item arrived damaged or we made an error.

Returns due to customer remorse (wrong size, changed mind, incorrect selection) incur the return fee.
3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives:

defective, or

different from what you ordered,
contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:

photos of the item,
-
packaging,
-
and your order number.
We will replace the item or issue a refund at no additional cost.
4. Refunds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Processing times:

Stripe: 3–10 business days

PayPal: 1–5 business days
-
Bank transfer refunds (if applicable): 3–7 business days
Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is caused by our error.
5. Exchanges
If you want to exchange an item:

Exchanges are processed by placing a new order once your return is approved.

This ensures accurate pricing and inventory availability.
6. Lost or Missing Packages
If tracking shows “Delivered” but the package cannot be found:
Before contacting us, please:

Check common drop-off points (porch, garage, mailbox area).
-
Ask neighbors or building management.
-
Wait 24 hours (carriers may scan early).
If still missing, contact us.
We will work with the carrier to investigate and determine the appropriate resolution.
7. Refused or Unclaimed Deliveries
If a package is returned due to being refused or not picked up:
You may choose:

Reshipment for a $5.00 re-shipping fee, or
-
Refund for the product price minus the original $5.00 shipping cost.
This prevents unnecessary carrier fees while keeping the policy fair to all customers.
8. Custom Manufacturing Orders (RFQ → Quote → PO)
Custom work is produced specifically for your project and cannot be returned or refunded after production begins, except in cases of:

manufacturing defects,
-
failure to meet the specifications defined in the accepted Quote/PO,
-
or issues covered under project-specific agreements.
For RFQs and custom orders:
-
Cancellation terms are defined in your quotation or PO.
-
Deposits, tooling fees, or material costs may be non-refundable once production has started.
